This blog was born out of Brexit, the election of President Trump, and shrill claims that President Trump's inauguration was bigger than President Obama's, that it didn't rain during the ceremony, that 3 million illegal aliens or dead people voted for Hillary Clinton, and that President Trump's electoral college margin was the biggest since President Reagan.
None of these statements are true.
It seems to me that Brexit and Twitter Tourettes is the inevitable outcome of an apathetic democracy, coupled with an intense backlash against the first African American President, and an economic recovery that favored urban over rural areas.
Thus, a sense of activism has been kindled in me, as in thousands—if not millions—of Americans. I will no longer stand aside. In this blog I will attempt to separate editorialism from facts, and provide original sources as much as possible. You can then decide for yourself when it is raining.
